Lateral buckling of submarine pipelines under high temperature and high pressure—A literature review

چکیده

This paper consists of a literature review on the latest research progress about lateral buckling submarine pipelines under high temperature (HT) and pressure (HP). First, main general assumptions simplifications made in context pipe are summarized order to better understand practical behavior pipelines. The governing equations uniaxial compression then derived. Next, controversial but widely deployed concept effective axial force complex sea environment is introduced. Influential parameters including initial imperfections, pipe-seabed interactions residual stresses elaborated discussed. Furthermore, numerical simulation methods experimental tests dealing with presented as well. Controlled which practically used for buckle initiation described. also reveals remaining challenges new tendencies, such use data-driven smart prediction buckling. Finally, specific case study numerically conducted. It found that effect friction variation can be generally ignored calculations. may provide guidance design future.
